Hello all dears , I'm a Chinese colledge student , after 7 monthes' self-learning dojo , I'm afraid I'm losing the confidence to keep on.
There's something I'm to ask and say:
1 Is there any other dojo help-documents ? I find the only document is just the online document , it's not enough at all. We need a detailed one. It's too hard to read the dojo1.1 documents online , because it realy waste time to vist the website. May be the net speed will be affected because I'm in China , but I have read some topics in the forum by others who are complaining the speed.
I can't understand why the website has such a high-security defence , it only cut the efficiency , meanwhile , fire Fox-3.0 don't support this forum because of the defence system. I hope someone to remove the stupid defence system.
2 Is the organization which take charge of the dojo still developing the dojo? I doubt if there is anyone still organize the dojo , because there are less topics in this year , 2008 . If this topic has no responses in 2 days , I think it's tme to leave dojo right now.
3 Is there any examples ( some webs ) using dojo? In China , there are some webs built with ext 2.0 , another AJAX-FRAMEWORK . At one time or another , the biggest website in China , www.sina.com , was using dojo . but now , I can't find even one website using dojo in China. I doubt dojo is washed out.
4 I had spent 7 monthes in dojo , well , not every day , but I can't use it now. My classmates who used to learn "propertype" or "ext" can now use these framewoks into prictice. Is dojo the most hardset one in AJAX-FRAMEWORKs?
7 monthes , no one would like to give up something when he or she had spent such a long time in something. But I really have no confidence to keep on.

Well that is unfortunate.
Well that is unfortunate. Some answers by number:
1. There are many online resources (the book, the api site, dojocampus, campus docs), plans for documentation mirrors to alleviate speed issues, off-line API programs (dojo toolbox), and three physical books available for Dojo 1.x -- links at end
2. Most of the core discussion about Dojo is done on the dojo-contributors mailing list, or in the weekly meetings. We are still actively developing Dojo, every day. If someone posts a question or statement in the Core development section, it typically gets addressed immediately, though most people participating prefer the mailing lists. The organization that runs Dojo is The Dojo Foundation, which consists of several open source projects, Dojo just happens to be the first one.
regarding the website defense: The issue is how FF3 presents "unsigned certificates". We signed our own certificate, so you have to jump through some hoops to "allow the security exception" ... we're looking into getting a "real" signed certificate, which will fix that problem. Using https:// to login is important.
3. No, Dojo isn't washed out. There is http://dojotoolkit.org/spotlight which is some people we've "interviewed" about their use of Dojo, and http://dojotoolkit.org/2008/05/10/using-dojo-get-listed announcing a list: http://dojotoolkit.org/DojoUsers -- and the companies and individuals who participate in the development: http://dojo.jot.com/ContributorListing -- from individuals to large companies, many people are involved in Dojo, use Dojo, and know Dojo. All are willing to help you learn and overcome hurdles.
4. No. Dojo is pretty easy, though you do have to know JavaScript some and understand html/css principles. If you have any specific problems, you should post specific items to one of the many community-run resources like these forums, the dojo-interest mailing list, or jump on #dojo (irc.freenode.net) if that is a possibility. We are a very open community, and accepting of all types of discussion about problems, shortcomings, or developer hurdles.
